According to recently published information, several infant formula products on the global market have been recalled or temporarily suspended from circulation due to concerns about the use of Arachidonic Acid (ARA) oil suspected of being contaminated with Bacillus cereus bacteria.
On January 27, 2026, Valio Group, the manufacturer of Pitelac formula, issued a statement affirming that
the ARA oil in Pitelac is not affected by any issues related to Bacillus cereus bacteria or Cereulide toxins.
The ARA oil in Pitelac meets Valio’s safety and quality standards, as well as internationally recognized food safety requirements.
